Acer Palmatum


Known as one of the most stunning ornamental trees used by gardeners worldwide, this deciduous plant is available in many varieties such as the beautiful Filigree with its beautiful purple foliage or Palmatum Ukigumo with its brightly white, grouped leaves.


its nicely spread foliage provides the perfect centerpiece for any space, although it is possible to grow Acers indoors, they will still need their dormancy period during winter to thrive.


Care Tips: If your Acer tree burns in the sun it can take up to and over a year to recover so please ensure to keep watering as usual to allow its full recovery.


If you have Potted your Acer, please ensure you upgrade your pot size accordingly so your roots have the necessary room to grow healthily.

Ericaceious Compost & mulch use is recommended.

Light Requirements: part shade to full shade

Pests: Aphids - Caterpillars - Acer Mites - Ants - Cutworms - Scale.

Cold Hardy: semi, care is recommended

Pruning: only dead branches, rarely needed.

Placement: Leaves can burn in hot temperatures, therefore a partly shaded/ shaded spot is preferable.
